David Loades is Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Wales and an Honorary Member of the University of Oxford History Faculty. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and a former President of the Ecclesiastical History Society. He is the author of over thirty books. A wonderful surprise ending to one of the most beautifully written books imaginable. This is the story of Erica Sparks, a news reporter that once had a career, made some mistakes and is now trying to re-invent herself, having lost her previous career, her marriage and custody of her 8yr old daughter Jenny.
