I'm very happy with my purchase and I can't wait to finish my Gravi collection!. I found the book not so interesting even though this is the book that probably is the first Dow Theory book. If the British marched to New York City like erroneously shown in this book, the war would have had a different outcome than it had. The first two chapters cover material that is difficult to find elsewhere and nowhere is it better handled. They all came across as pretty evil thugs and it would have been nice to see a little more humanity in them.
A few scenes did make me cringe in this book; though, interestingly, those were more the ones that left it to my imagination. All in all, it an okay book. Often, graduate texts are thoroughly awash with Sobolev spaces and weak convergence and the physical problem, i.e., the actual model, is all but ignored. The thing I have used the most is the laminated card with all the case endings - very useful for reference.
