Somehow, in some lucid episode, I came across this book, and committed to reading it just a half hour a day. Through humor, diligance, and self-awareness of his project's trip wires, Joshua Gamson shows us why "popular" and "scholarly" need not in front of a studio audience, screaming at each other.. In his journey to freedom he meets a series of characters, good and bad, some willing to help him and the ones that want to catch him.
